The Conjuring
Wickscraft was conceived out of a desire for unique scented candles that weren't the typical pricey, minimalist sticker-slapped candles in glass containers.
Today's consumers (we mean you!) are wiser, idealistic, but more grounded than ever, which is why we found it essential to create a product that was not only great on it's own, but offered true depth & narrative, and something we hope people can build a connection to.
Thinking outside the cauldron
We wanted this simple candle to be an expression of ourselves, translated into a medium that is tied to an integral part of Filipino history and culture: pottery. Each Wickscraft candle vessel has been hand-shaped by skilled Kapampangan artisans with generations of experience, honoring the unique techniques, designs & aesthetics of their craft. We are proud to consider our candles as a tribute to the exquisite artistry and cultural heritage embedded within traditional Filipino pottery and their artisans.

Each vessel is meticulously filled, sanded, sealed, and painted by hand giving it its aesthetic appeal and feel. Lovingly and carefully hand-poured with soy wax and premium fragrance oils, with a dual wood wick soaked in coconut oil to enable the candle to breathe as best and as long as it can. This highly individual approach allows us to ensure that each candle is met with the right attention and care before they are delivered to your home.

According to a Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) study, it was estimated that there were 12 million stray dogs and cats in the country in 2019. While Animal Homelessness is a complicated topic, with issues like a rise in rabies cases where 200-300 people die every year, or that an average of 200 dogs are euthanized at city pounds every week, there remains to be simple solutions mere citizens can turn to: like adopting instead of shopping, and spaying and neutering these animals to help control their population, in turn improving their quality of life, as well as the community around them.
We ourselves grew up with animals and have continued to live with them to this day. We hold these creatures' lives equal to our own, and love them like family. We know that they are intelligent, soulful, and deem us worthy of their love, so we should be the same to them, if not moreso as humans. This is why we choose to commit donating part of our profits to programs of animal welfare that make an impact and can incite real change.
While it's easy to donate, it's harder to make sure how these donations can make a difference. We diligently try to find the best groups and agencies that not only provide the necessary primary care work to animals, but provide the right support and education to local communities on how to adopt and compassionately co-exist with these animals.
We want to make sure that we're not only donating for the sake of donating, but that through these donations, we're helping ignite change within society through programs that make people realize that it doesn't take much to help out another life.
